A group of 44 enthusiastic students from the 6th semester, Section F2, of the *Mechanical Engineering Department, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), Hyderabad visited T-Works, India’s largest prototyping center located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The visit, organized as part of their industrial exposure program, was guided by the coordinator Dr BVS Rao and faculty mentors Dr. Rahul, Mr. Surender Reddy, and Mrs. Jyothirmayee.

T-Works, an initiative by the Government of Telangana, is a state-of-the-art facility that enables innovators and entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life through advanced prototyping and manufacturing technologies. The students explored cutting-edge labs and workshops such as the Metal Workshop, 3D Printing Lab, Laser Cutting and Engraving Shop, Textile Prototyping Studio, Advanced Rapid Prototyping Lab, Pottery Workshop, and PCB Workshop.
From observing CNC machining tools and 5-axis milling machines to understanding precision soldering for electronic components, the students gained invaluable hands-on exposure. Interactive sessions with T-Works experts Mr. Awiz Khan, Mr. Daksh, and Mr. Ajith further enriched their understanding of current industry trends and the product development lifecycle.
The visit emphasized an interdisciplinary approach, blending mechanical engineering with electronics, design, and craftsmanship. It also fostered creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The team returned inspired and better equipped to translate theoretical knowledge into real-world applications—an experience that truly aligned with CBIT’s vision of nurturing future-ready engineers.
